The center post folds down to make it easier to load bikes onto the rack. When not in use, the wheel holder platforms fold up for compact storage in your garage. Without bikes loaded, the empty rack tilts for access to the rear of the vehicle. With no bikes and the center post folded down, the rack folds up compactly against the vehicle to create a smaller footprint in your garage or parking lot. This bike rack fits 2in hitch receivers and comes with a hitch pin.
